I remember a post of Julie's from about a year or so ago, when she came to the sudden realization that Estelle was no longer a baby, but a toddler! Today, I would say Elijah is officially a toddler. He has gone from taking just a few wobbly steps at a time to suddenly walking. Pretty proficiently. It's been coming on slowly for the past couple of days, but today (at 12 months and 7 days) he has adopted walking as his new official mode of transportation. To go along with this milestone, Elijah got his first "broke-the-skin" wound today when he face-planted into the fireplace mantle. Oops!
Have a great weekend!

Soooo sweet! He has officially mastered the art of walking, yay!! Amazing how just last week he was still so wobbly! Pull out the helmets, knee pads and elbow pads. Invest in some "boo boo bears" for the freezer. From here on out it's all about the cuts, scratches, bumps and bruises. It doesn't matter how closely you watch him, or how childproofed your house is. Now that he is on two feet you need to invest in a fairly large stock of "ouchless" bandaids and various types of ointments! In the beginning you will be full of gasps but within a few months you will get used to hearing that dreadful sound of head, knee, elbow hitting some sort of a hard object! You will get used to seeing bumps turn into instant "eggs" and soon you will be saying "brush it off tough guy, thatta boy!!"
oh no he is just growing up toooo fast- what a perfect little toddler he is- walking around saying MOM MA Hope you are still trying to teach him to say NANA
Miss you all very much, love, Momsie
