Free State Park admission weekend here in Vermont! Against all weather forecasters' advice, Heather and I decided to move forth with our picnic-on-the-beach plans at the Sandbar.
Unbelievably, we go SO lucky with the weather- 75 degrees and very sunny!
Ed stayed home to get some chores done, so I didn't take too many pictures...I had my hands full!
We were joined by Amy and Colby with their 2 kids Ava (3.5 yrs) and Brady (16 months) as well as Jen, Art and little Evan (7 months). Amy and Jen are Heather's sisters.

Elijah's wondering, "Where's the lime?"
For anyone who thinks Eli is a BIG boy, here's a shot of him with Brady (who is 10 weeks YOUNGER than Elijah). And soooo cute! Just a couple of guys hanging out at the beach.
This is the best I could get of all the kids!
The bigger kids (Jackson, 8 and Ryan, 6) had fun playing in the water, while Elijah didn't go near it- we was mostly content to sit in the shade and dig in the sand (fine by me!). It was really a perfect summer day at the beach.

I love that last picture of Elijah! Clearly he had a blast at the beach, good for him!! It looks like you picked a perfect day to go too! I bet he slept great that night :o)
Looks like fun!!
Hey, how am I getting your blog updates on my following list now?
Looks like you're already making the best of summer vacation. Good for you. What a great day it looks like you had. It was a beautiful day here too, but Wes took Wayne and Cole to his soccer game and they said it poured on the way home. Weird, because there was not a drop here.
Just lost my lengthy comment I typed, so will try again briefly.
So glad to see you enjoying your second day of vacation at the beach. We love seeing pictures of Elijah!

Darlene- I decided to take the Permissions off my blog so more people could have access to it without all the trouble of signing in.
Ah, finally - a photo of Elijah where I see a trace of Alexander. That last photo I see Matthew!
