Sit back and relax-here are dozens of pictures from our 4 days in Rhode Island:
First, Thanksgiving at my Dad's house-
Here's my nephew Kyle giving some serious love to his baby sister Isabella:Some outside time with Auntie Carole, while the Thanksgiving feast was being prepared:

Me and my Dad:
We had a fantastic, traditional Thanksgiving meal. My Dad worked so hard to create a memorable feast! We all left stuffed, and barely touched dessert. But don't you worry- I took tons of leftovers and enjoyed my desserts later!
On Friday, we went to visit my friends Kim and Ken. Here are their 3 children- Sydney (5) and Gabriel (22 months)- with our suddenly UN-camera-shy munchkin:
Next are some pictures from Elijah's Birthday party at my sister Paula's house. Here's Nana, with all of her beautiful grandchildren. Talk about something to be thankful for!
Nana gets bowled over by loving grand kids!
A sideways shot of Elijah's second birthday cake:
Blowing out the candles
Opening presents:
Thanks, Auntie Paula and Uncle Jim for hosting a great family Birthday party for Elijah! Even after all that cake, Elijah slept well on the looong drive home!
Happily, Ed returned home from deer camp this morning (Sunday). After Elijah's nap, we had one final birthday party:Leftover birthday cake! But the cake will have to wait until after the presents are opened...A couple of books from Mommy and Daddy:
And the Big Present- an artist's easel:And, finally....back to that birthday cake!

Grammie says, " I think Elijah is very cute and has a nice smile. It looks like he got lots of birthday gifts. I like the easel. Maybe he will be a great painter someday."
What fun to relive your Thanksgiving gatherings and birthday parties for Elijah. I remember sitting next to you at Laura and Paul's wedding. Ed leaned over and whispered to Mom, "It's a boy!" Sandy had just learned from the doctor that she was carrying a little baby boy. Look how big that baby has grown to be!!
We all love Elijah!
I love that Mel&Doug easel! Wonder how much the int'l shipping would be? ha ha
Looks like a wonderful trip to R.I. and some great moments with all your family! Yeah. Your mom looks like she is doing well.
How was that drive down and back alone with a 2 year old?
Looks like you and Elijah had a great Turkey day with your family! Elijah really is the cutest 2-yr-old I know!
Elijah is truly a lucky boy to have so many people who love him. Looks like you had a great time with your family for Thanksgiving and Elijah may have set a new world record for the most birthday parties!
We all enjoyed having you & Elijah here! We missed Ed, though!
Kyle has been talking non-stop about Eli & can't wait to see him again. He informed me last night that he wants to move to Vermont. Then he asked if Elijah could come live with us!
I will forever laugh at the memory of Eli saying "scared of Kyle, scared of Kyle" during their first "tag" game together!
We were just talking at Thanksgiving how we made bets on your due date Sandy, and I believe you won the dollar bet!! Happy Birthday Elijah! Chris and I have a wrapped present for you, but need to find the time to see you! What a beautiful picture of Elijah and his Grammie!
Happy 2nd Birthday Elijah! My kids loved their easel, I am sure his will gets lots of use too! xo
