This summer, I feel like there have been tons of opportunities for us to spend time with friends. These include sunset barbecues at the beach...(Beth, Jen, Liz)
(Ed and Todd)
An evening picnic at Boyden's Vineyard for a Red Hot Juba concert......where Elijah ran into his old pal from daycare, Rhiannon. Rhiannon was Elijah's first friend- they were born just 2 days apart and met when they were only a couple of weeks old. He hasn't seen her all summer, and they quickly became inseparable! We've run a few races together- the "Paul Mailman 10-miler," the "Fairfax Egg Run," and the "Round Church Women's Run." Here I am at the Egg Run in Fairfax, with my early morning running partners, Mary and Liz.
Ava (5) and Reese (7) participated in the kids' run.
Mary is doing the "100 on 100" this weekend and Liz and I are tackling the Echo Lake 10 miles! Liz, Jen, Beth and me at Jim's birthday party-Our Bunco group is pretty much falling apart, and I've only been to one Bunco this summer (no pictures), but some of the girls have started going to Buffalo Wild Wings on Trivia Tuesdays. I joined them a couple weeks ago- the wings were amazing, but the service was terrible. We had fun anyway!(Kelli, Jen G., Lisa, Liz, Yvonne-- all Fairfax Ladies)
Getting to spend so much time with my friends has made it a really fun summer. I'm sad to see it end!!!
