Haha, I just thought that would be a funny title for this blog post. Sorry if you were thinking, "Yahoo!" or (more likely) "Oh no!" Anyway, we DO have a new addition. Last Friday Elijah got a pet hamster named Pumpkin Cereal-Bowl (don't ask). See, this is what happens when Ed decides to wait in the car while Elijah and I "run into PetSmart for a new aquarium plant." I always had one rodent pet or another as a kid...and I guess it's genetic. Anyway, she's very cute and sweet. If she survives the extra-special attention (read: mad desire to kill) from Zoe, we'll all be lucky!

Love the name. Cute little hamster! Zoe must be jealous and Elijah thrilled!
Haha! Cute name! Kyle recently captured a toad & named him Mr. Toady. So original, eh? :) Have fun with your new addition!
see for me, "rodent" and "pet" is a word collocation that just doesn't jive. But thrilled for Elijah!
So cute!!
We always had guinea pigs or hamsters too... I think there are probably descendants of our pets roaming around the woods where we grew up!
Now I see the Lego security blanket in the cage...very clever!
Hope Zoe does behave herself with the hamster and does not teach it any jumping out the window tricks!
Bet Elijah is a good caregiver!

We love the pumpkin cereal name! Hope Zoe keeps her hands off of her! Alex got a hamster for Xmas, had it for a month but realized she was allergic to it, after episodes of itchy eyes, etc. Came home one day to see her with eyelids all swollen. Had to sadly bring back to Pet Food Warehouse. Many tears! Good luck! Love, Grammie and Martha
I completely understand the name, as I too have children who come up with names like that. Hamster and goldfish should be part of every child's life, although we have not gone the hamster route yet, but thinking about a lizzard or hermit crab.
