Sandy, our kids LOVED the volcano experiment! We used to build them in the sandbox. Addy loved using his plastic dinosaurs and army men, and watch the red lava pour down on them! The good part was NO CLEANUP! What fun for Elijah and you to try out the experiments in your book! Thought one of your pumpkins was totally flat on one side, but managed to stand up and look terrific. Elijah looks so proud!
Sorry that there's no text. Blogger hasn't been very friendly to me lately! It WAS a volcano, the explosion was sopmewhat anticlimatic- but making it was a ton of fun. Then Elijah watched some real volcanic eruptions on the National Geographic website and did a few online volcano jogsaw puzzles :-)
fun catching up on all your blogs, Sandy. Can't get over what a "boy" Elijah has become, guess I haven't seen him in a while. Looks like you have a great time together. I'm sure he will enjoy baby Caroline as she gets old enough to play with. Love, Mary

Having a science teacher for a mom must be the coolest thing ever.
(Oh, and having a math teacher for a dad is pretty good too.)

Cool! I'm guessing it was some sort of volcano! We had pictures only, no text. Is that correct?
Very cool volcano! What was he watching on the tele?
