Wishing for a White Christmas, we got a couple inches of heavy, wet snow on Friday and took advantage of the opportunity to build our first snowman of the season.
Decorating our tree Friday night!
Christmas Eve day at Tyler's house, followed by dinner at the Peters'.
Letter, cookie and milk for Santa!
We're ready!
Opening stockings while the sunporch warmed up.
One pooped out kiddo!
Pumpkin Cereal-Bowl, the miracle hamster. I like to think I brought her back from the dead last night. Turns out that the room I keep her in to protect her from the Jaws of Death (Zoe) got too cold, and she went into hibernation. We thought she was dead. They call me the Hamster-Whisperer :-)

Elijah looks so excited and happy in all those pictures. He obviously had a very happy holiday. He was really going to town on those gingerbread houses. And the snowman looks great - much better than the blobs of snow that we made. It was good to have snow for Christmas.
See you at Joanie's?
Elijah seemed so grown up when he was making the gingerbread house. He seemed much older than just 4.
Loved his expression when he opened up his chainsaw! How cool!
It's always super sweet when Santa is able to bring the *1* thing that your child asks for! I remember one year the only thing Kyle asked for was an orange garbage truck. ORANGE. We went crazy looking for one!! It's kind of funny because since then orange garbage trucks have become pretty popular & can be found in almost any store!!
Anyways, from the looks of things I would say that Elijah had a very Merry Christmas! We love his gingerbread house!
Let's discuss that B & D chainsaw. Dang. Cute kid!
What wonderful pictures, so cute of Santa's note, putting the star on the tree, the chainsaw gift, but I guess my favorite picture is the Elijah asleep in the chair!
Also, thanks to Elijah and Heather for the two snowmen on the lawn...I never even knew they were there til the next day!!
Happy New Year!
Joanie
finally catching up on blogs....Elijah looks huge (guess I haven't seen him in a while). Loved the snowman and the chainsaw pictures. He's becoming a
"little man".
Love,
Mary :)
