Thanks, everyone. I am feeling much better today, but Elijah still has "The Grip" (except Ed says '"The Grip" is only vomiting-not diarrhea- so I might be using that phrase improperly...too bad Francis Colburn isn't around to clarify).
Ed went to school today, nearly passed out and had to step outdoors for some fresh air. He never actually got sick, but had to turn his class over to a student so he could leave the room for approximately 10-minutes. I'm sure those kids were thinking, "Down goes Old Man Alexander!" Especially because it was like -20 degrees outside. But he is feeling a bit better tonight.
I have literally changed 15 diapers today, with little exaggeration. Eli's backend looks like one of those baboons you see in National Geographic.
On another thread, I hope that if I ever fly again, I have Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger as my pilot...

Glad to hear you are feeling better, Sandy. Hope Ed and Elijah are well soon!
Yes, that pilot was very heroic!
Well, good news is you and Ed are feeling a bit better. Now if only Eli would get on board! There's a great ointment out there that treats diaper rash (among many other things!) pretty quickly... its called "Bag Balm". It comes in a green metal box. Any pharmacy will carry it. It's not always found in the baby section though. Ask for it. It will clear up Eli's behind in no time :)
The events that took place on 9-11 sealed my fate of ever flying again. The events that took place on/in the Hudson River SUPER GLUED my fate forever! I shall see the world via books, television, internet, boat, car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, bus and train. That's it. No planes.
Sandy, good luck man. 3 cases of stomach flu - that's like a mother's nightmare.
We carry on with the chicken pox. It's not a big deal, for the moment.
I have no idea who Sully Sullenberger is. Except it must be the guy who landed that plane in the Hudson I heard about? Let's hope none of my planes have to land in the Atlantic one of these days!
So glad you're feeling better, Sandy. Hope Ed and Elijah are feeling better too.
You and Julie just have me waiting for our turn...
you would think in the cold cold weather that NOT ONE GERM could survive- but perhaps with our house, etc being so hot they are thriving- it took me a full week before I was able to enjoy eating again (or perhaps just knowing after a week that everyone was staying down) so do not be surprised it the BUG hangs around for awhile sorry, nothing you can do about it Love, Momsie
